I am a part-time photographer based here in Powhatan, VA (and the surrounding areas).  I love to create  more emotive images that can make you feel something. I shoot with a perspective of looking at connection, touch, layers, shapes, details with close ups and pull backs and I intentionally place focus on certain pieces of the image.  I truly embrace how the story unfolds that night and heavily encourage families to do the same.  

I love to capture those tiny but fleeting details (maybe it is your baby's sweet dimple, a meaningful tattoo, a special piece of jewelry, or those tiny fingers that won't be so tiny for long. Maybe it is your teenager who is now taller than you! Maybe it is the beautiful freckles on a sweet face or that radiant red hair). Or maybe it is things & activities that are meaningful to your family (music, games, books, blankets, bonfires, sports, free play etc). Whatever it is, I love the details that are unique to you! I mostly love to make you feel comfortable & connected.

I don't aim to capture the perfectly posed or forced smiles but rather, I keep everyone looking at each other and connected through touch, play & movement. I shoot with intention. I strive to capture connection, emotive & authentic moments, but don't worry...I will walk you through every step of the way.
